Old Course

Trump National Golf Club, Bedminster has made its mark in the world of golf, by receiving international recognition and accolades. The layout, which stretches to 7,560 yards from the championship tees, was designed by Tom Fazio and opened in 2004.

Since that time it has been recognized with the following honors:

  • Top 100 Golf Courses in America; GOLF Magazine, 2011, 2009, 2007, 2005
  • America's Best Modern Courses; Golfweek Magazine, 2013-2006
  • Course of the Year; NJ Golf Course Owner's Association, 2011
  • America’s Best New Courses; Golfweek Magazine, 2006
  • Development of the Year; Golf Inc. 2005

The Old Course compliments the extraordinary topography of the property. The greens are well undulated with the ability for multiple hole locations and the bunkers are large and boldly shaped. The routing provides a wonderful variety of holes playing across the open fields of the old farm, over and around numerous lakes and through magnificent groves of trees.

The Old Course is the perfect place to hold your own golf tournament, or perhaps just enjoy a round with your family or fellow members.

Hole 1 - Par 4/5

Yards 514 545 537 483 440

The left side of the fairway is the ideal position for a drive on this long par-5 opening hole. If you miss it, it's better to find the bunker on the left than the trees on the right. Bunkers close to the green can grab mis-hit layups, but the slightly elevated green complex can be reached in two when not hitting into the wind.

New Course

The second, 18-hole Heathlands style course was designed and built by Tom Fazio, who has worked closely with Donald Trump as his in-house golf course designer and builder for almost a decade.

A par 72, like its predecessor, and measuring 7,511 yards, The New Course literally frames the Old Course, transforming every inch of available land into a handcrafted masterpiece. With a mix of wooded and open spaces and even more elevation changes, The New Course is distinctly different and boasts old school characteristics such as smaller greens and bunkers.

The New Course at Trump National stands proudly alongside The Old Course as one of the finest in the world. Since its opening in August 2008 it was been recognized with some of the following honors:

  • Best Modern Courses; GolfWeek 2011
  • Course of the Year; NJ Golf Course Owner's Association, 2011
  • America's Best New Courses; Golfweek Magazine, 2009
  • Best New Private Courses; GOLF Magazine, 2008

Hole 1 - Par 4

Yards 497 464 445 335 310 277

From the blue tee markers to bunker on the left is a 230-yard carry followed by approximately 90 more yards of fairway. Drive position is key: the deeper you hit it, the better the angle you will have to attack the flagstick and play perpendicular to the hazard right of the green. The left side of the green area offers room to bailout, with a slope that often releases shots down to the green itself. Like many other holes, a premium is put on the tee shot to set up the approach.
